Literacy in the Content Areas

Target Audience:  Teachers grades 4-12, intervention specialists, coaches and administrators.

Participants in this workshop will become familiar with reading strategies that will support student learning in content areas.  Vocabulary instruction will be a big focus as well as before, during and after reading instructional tools.  Get ideas that will help motivate students read their textbooks and help them understand the content.

 


Get It, Got It, Go!

Registration Information

All workshop opportunities hosted at the Wapakoneta office can be viewed at the SST6 website.  Full descriptions can be viewed in the STARSv2.0 webpage under “Event Search”.  

To get to the STARSv2.0 webpage, you must first log into your SAFE account.  At the STARSv2.0 website, click on “Event Search” on the left-hand side of the page. Set the search criteria for “5” miles of our zip code “45895” if you are searching for events that are at our Wapakoneta location.  Enter a date range if you are looking for a specific event and know the scheduled date.  Click on the "Search" button.  This will bring up a list of workshops at the State Support Team Region 6.  In order to register for a specific event, click on that event in the list and wait for it to become highlighted.  Click on the "Register for Selected Event" button and follow the directions.
 
Registration for all workshops at the State Support Team Region 6 must be completed at the STARSv2.0 website.
