Introduction to the Module

Intentional teaching is about integrating strategies that help students to master new knowledge and skills, as well as, help students to not forget what they have learned. This module will describe characteristics of non-strategic learners. Participants will understand the importance of accommodating students with these learner characteristics. Dr. Riccomini will explain the Interleave Worked Solution Strategy that can be used to help students master new skills. He will also explain Spaced Learning Over Time. This strategy can be used to help students use and retain previously taught concepts and skills.
