Trend data is the important foundation for evidenced based improvement plans. Point data can be informative in comparing previous years score with a current score or “year over last” (YOL). However, using trend data along with point data can be a key to a more informed, successful plan. Using at least three years of actual data and the Excel’s trend line tool, much data turbulence may be eliminated.

The "Trendinator" is designed so that district/building data can be inserted over the sample data in the spreadsheet templates. All trend line graphs are created in Excel 2007 and cannot be converted into working Excel 97-2003 documents.
