Title: One Way Teaching is the Wrong Way to Learning Description: One of the first things a teacher must do when considering how to teach students is to acknowledge that each student does not learn in the same way. Much of the material used to educate students at grade levels beyond primary school is largely text and lecture based, which have significant limitations and often have barriers to learning. While reading is a very important learning mode, not all students learn effectively from reading. In this webinar, participants will explore some of the barriers in learning content material. The best idea about building grit in kids is called growth mindset. Growth mindset is the belief that the ability to learn is not fixed, that it can change with your effort. As educators, we must try to cultivate this mindset in our students. In this brief webinar, we will explore the research and share ideas about helping acquire this disposition for academic success! In this webinar, patrons will exam the benefits of co-teaching and co-planning. Just as when you’re working on your own, planning is an essential part of teaching. Planning is a little more complicated, though, when you’re doing it collaboratively. How will you divide up the work? Who will take the lead when?
